Fox shoots home from weird angle early in Series
I spent way too much time early in the World Series trying to figure out why the shot from the centerfield camera at the Trop looked so darn . . . weird.
It turned out that Fox decided to move the camera farther toward leftfield than TBS had had it for the ALCS, resulting in an unusual shot from almost directly over the pitcher's head rather than just to his right.
Whether because of that or coincidental to that, home plate appeared to be more off center on the screen than normal, shifted to the right. I'm told that perhaps had something to do with the quirks of the St. Petersburg dome.
All was back to normal in Philly for Games 3 and 4. I'll start worrying about all this again for Game 6.
