George Michael, RIP
RIP George Michael, who diedearlier today of cancer at age 70.
The long-time fixture in Washington, D.C., area sports television was the host of a pioneering syndicated highlights show, "The George Michael Sports Machine," until 2007.
Michael also worked in New York, as a radio DJ in WABC's heyday and as an announcer on Islanders games.
Also: RIP Lester Rodney, one of the most vocal critics of Major League Baseball's color line in the years before Jackie Robinson broke it.
