More data just in on the monster TV numbers for Sunday's NFC title game:

It attracted an average of 53.9 million viewers, making it the most-watched conference title game since 56.8 million saw the Cowboys and 49ers play 13 years ago and the most-watched non-Super Bowl TV show of any kind since the "Seinfeld" finale in 1998, which drew 76.3 million viewers. (Someone please alert the Green Bay TV station manager who last weekend cancelled Eli's favorite show to mess with his head.)

According to Nielsen, 96.2 million Americans watched at least part of the game.

A staggering 65.1 million people were estimated to be watching when Lawrence Tynes kicked the game-winning field goal, as were 49 percent of all U.S. homes with a TV in use.
