Giants' pep pops Pokes
Hey, check it out: I left the basement Sunday and wrote a column about the Giants game.
It was about Big Blue's renewed passion and energy, and I didn't even mention the halftime scuffle between Justin Tuck and Flozell Adams, whom the former called a "dirtbag" and a "coward."
Before the game I stood next to the Cowboys in the tunnel before they were introduced, and a fan hung over the railing for a good two minutes yelling at Adams, saying among other things that he has an aunt named Flozell.
Adams started shouting back, but I couldn't make out what he was saying.
I also talked to Tiki Barber minutes after he walked off the field to a mixture of boos and cheers upon being introduced as an honorary captain.
Here is that story. Sample quote:
"I spent my life here, put blood, sweat and tears and everything else on that football field for those same people who either boo or cheer me. To think I'm anti-Giant is insane.''
Rock, Glauber and Logan wrote a bunch of other stuff about the Giants game here.
People I saw at the game: Jon Bon Jovi, governor of New York, governor-elect of New Jersey, Bob Glauber and . . . Magic Johnson?!
Steve Tisch has way more interesting friends than I do.
