Golf Channel documentary profiles Watson caddy Bruce Edwards
Even casual fans of golf likely will recall the story of Bruce Edwards, who was best known as Tom Watson's longtime caddy and who in 2004 died of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis
But few know Edwards' story - and the family and friends behind him - well enough to not learn more about him from the Golf Channel documentary "Caddy for Life: The Bruce Edwards Story," premiering at 9 p.m. Monday.
The 90-minute show, based on the book by John Feinstein, includes an impressive array of interview subjects, which in itself is a tribute to Edwards' life and career.
The roster includes Watson, Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Greg Norman and several members of Edwards' immediate family.
The pace of the show is deliberate - like the sport itself - but it's worth a watch for those who follow golf and remember Edwards.
