Hal Steinbrenner talks to WFAN, but not about book
Mike Francesa's phone interview with Hal Steinbrenner this afternoon was strangely uneventful.
Francesa had just received Joe Torre's new book and had not yet read it, and Steinbrenner said he had not yet received a copy.
Francesa did not ask Steinbrenner about some of the details that have been reported from the book, including an excerpt SI.com posted Monday that covers the infamous meeting in Tampa that effectively ended Torre's term.
Said Hal:
"I've been around long enough, you know, on occasion the media's been known to over-dramatize certain things, and we may find that's the case here. But I just have no way of knowing."
