TNT averaged 7.43 million viewers for Tuesday night's Heat-Celtics game, making it the most-watched regular-season NBA game ever on cable television, surpassing a 1996 game between the Bulls and Lakers.

Here is Verne Gay's latest story on the Fox vs. Cablevision difficulties.

Here is Sandomir's story on that topic from the Wednesday Times.

Here is Steve Phillips talking about the notion of a Sandy Alderson/Wally Backman marriage on his Sirius XM Satellite Radio show:

"[Backman] doesn't, for me, match up with Sandy Alderson. Sandy Alderson is kind of a very thoughtful, you know, he’s classy, he’s graceful. You know, Wally’s kind of that chewing tobacco down the front of his shirt sort of a guy. I’m not sure they match up perfectly with each other. I think Backman’s an interesting candidate that you have to consider but I think his chances [became] less with Sandy Alderson getting hired as general manager.”

Time to check Hulu to see if last night's "Glee" episode is up yet.

    (Update: Yup.)
