In Friday's newspaper column we fire up the Wayback Machine to the 1990s and catch up with former Giants cornerback and current CBS College Sports analyst Jason Sehorn.
I originally planned to save Sehorn for closer to his Sept. 12 game debut on Duke-Army, but he is to appear on studio preview shows Monday and Tuesday, so . . . why the heck not?
Sehorn remains in regular contact with former teammate Michael Strahan, who with his ex-wife Jean helped set up Sehorn and his wife, Angie Harmon.
What does Sehorn think of Strahan's TV work, including a new Fox sitcom?
"He's just him," Sehorn said. "He was a sitcom all by himself when we played. Now you just surround him with a good cast and you're set."
Sehorn said he has no interest in acting and has turned down chances to appear on "Dancing With the Stars."
"Here is a perfect example of why you should never do it," he said.
"Right now, more people know Emmitt Smith as the winner of 'Dancing With the Stars' than as the all-time rushing leader in the history of the NFL. Not football fans, but people in general."
