Kenny Anderson, one-time hoops phenom, works on fatherhood
The Washington Post catches up here with Kenny Anderson, now a 38-year-old stay-at-home dad living in Florida with his wife, his stepdaughter and one of his seven children by five women.
Anderson seems content after years of personal and financial complications, so good for him.
I covered Kenny in the mid-to-late 1980s when he was one of the best players in New York City high school history at Archbishop Molloy and I was toiling for the late, sometimes great New York Newsday.
After his final game he thanked me for chronicling his career. That hadn't happened to me before and hasn't happened since.
That's all for today. Big bachelor plans for me with Mrs. WatchDog and the pups out of the house.
Cornell-Yale on Versus at noon. Lindenhurst-Northport live blog on Newsday.com at 1:30. SNL season premiere at 11:30.
Then rest up for Sunday at 1.
(UPDATE: Cornell won, 14-12. Northport won, 28-21. A lovely day all-around.)
