Larry David curbs golf enthusiasm on 'Feherty'
For most non-golfers the sound of a player whining about the game’s frustrations sounds like “yada, yada, yada.’’
But when Larry David does it, well, check out the season finale of David Feherty’s eponymous Golf Channel show at 9 p.m. Monday.
Some highlights: “You do not have the level of humiliation in any other game that you get in golf. You top a ball, it goes 14 feet, there is no such thing.
“Yeah, you can strike out in baseball, but everybody strikes out, so that’s not that bad. There is nothing you can do in any other sport that compares to the level of humiliation you have in golf – nothing.’’
And this: “I’ve wasted so much time. I could be speaking foreign languages now. I could be a concert pianist if I put this time into something else. It’s crazy, and all I do is get unhappy.”
