LeBron James opens up to GQ

I spent a good 10 minutes Thursday night wading through dozens of pages of ads featuring male models in the current issue of GQ before finding the story about LeBron James by Manhasset's own J.R. Moehringer.

Not that there's anything wrong with that, necessarily. It's just . . . wow. That magazine sure has a lot of ads.

I couldn't find the entire story on the Web.

The story is interesting and well written, and posits that James' decision to be part of a group of stars in Miami is in keeping with his approach to his high school career and perhaps is a function of his troubled youth.

Difficult to explain. Buy the magazine if you're interested. And/or if you enjoy male models.
