Hey, check it out: Newsday.com's college hoops blog is back after a period of inactivity.
I covered college hoops in general and St. John's in particular from 1990-95, including the final two seasons of Lou Carnesecca's regime.
That was an experience.
The highlight was a post-season lunch at Dante's in 1991 that I assumed would be an intimate gathering in which coaches and beat writers would break bread and say their farewells until the following season.
Instead, I encountered 100 or so of Looie's closest friends . . . and left five hours later.
