  • Mets, Yankees pack 'em in in Baseball Town

    On Tuesday and Wednesday, the Yankees and Mets drew a combined paid attendance of 216,045 to four games in the Bronx and Queens.

    In 1903, the first year in New York for the American League franchise that then was known as the Highlanders and later became the Yankees, the team drew 211,808 . . . for the season.
