Some newsworthy items fall through the cracks because I don't have the time or inclination to come up with a clever, bloggish tone for them. But they still might be of interest.

Hence, the following roundup of leftovers from the week:

Greg Anthony was named CBS' lead college hoops studio analyst, replacing Clark Kellogg, who replaced Billy Packer as the lead game analyst.

Michele Tafoya gave up her NBA sideline reporter role to avoid long spring-time absences from her family, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reported.

NBC will televise two live hours of "Skate America" at 4 p.m. Sunday, as well as 14 more live hours from the major figure skating event Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday afternoon on Universal Sports (Cablevision Channel 110).

CBS extended its contract to televise the Army-Navy game through 2018, and the game will move to the second Saturday in December, thus wrapping up the college football regular season.
