Here is the Friday newspaper column - holiday weekend edition - which includes items on preparations for the launch of the MLB Network five weeks from today, on Tony Siragusa working games for Fox from behind the end zone, on the Mets eliminating free tickets from their Kids Club package and on the Jets changing the transfer policy on non-PSL season tickets.

Why am I up at this hour?

Well, some men rise before dawn to take their son (or daughter) hunting. Some rise before dawn to send off their daughters to hunt for bargains on Black Friday.

Sigh. Thus was I listening to Malusis at 4:30 a.m. And away we go . . .

(How was your holiday? Mine was fine, thanks. Played one last nostalgic game of touch football on the dead end in East Northport before the family sells the old barn after 37 years next summer. Fill me in on all the great stuff I missed in the NFL tripleheader, please.)
