Several major cable companies, including Cablevision (which owns Newsday), Time Warner and Comcast are offering a free preview of NBA League Pass during the first week of the season.
That's the out-of-market package that offers games from around the league.
Only a week? The NHL Center Ice preview lasted three weeks!
