  • Nets' Brooklyn move faces political, financial issues

    What with the legal challenges lingering and the U.S. economy as we have known it turning into corned beef hash, it appears there are some ongoing issues with the Nets' new arena in downtown Brooklyn.

    Is the time approaching for Mr. Ratner to consider finding a nice adoptive family for his team that would put it up in a handsome new home in downtown Newark?

    There even would be a ready-made group of devilish siblings to play with.

    Or . . . how about coming home to Uniondale, where there also is a hockey team that might like the companionship?
