  • New York among top 10 markets for Series Game 2

Fox and MLB are going to need a six- or seven-game World Series to escape some really grim ratings numbers, it appears.

Game 2 was watched by 8.1 percent of American homes, which is the second-lowest for a Series game ever - behind only the 8.0 for Game 1 in 2006 - according to Sports Business Daily.

As usual, New York was more interested than most markets without a team involved. The leading major markets were topped by three from Florida plus Philadelphia, but after that came St. Louis, Charlotte, Boston, Minneapolis and New York, where 9.8 percent of homes tuned in on average.
