  • New York, Boston media invade Arizona in record waves

This is kind of cool, actually.

I keep sending stuff in, and they keep posting it on our Web site. The last time I was here for a Super Bowl, 12 years ago, we just goofed off most of the day and then wrote our newspaper articles when we got around to it.

Here is something I wrote about the unprecedented media credentialing going on here, thanks in part to the invasion from New York and Boston, two cities just happy to have something to kill time with until pitchers and catchers.

(UPDATE: The official record-breaking credentials total is 4,786, up from last year's record 4.516. The Arizona Republic leads the way with 57, followed by the Boston Globe's 35. Fox has way more than either of those newspapers, but I'm not counting them.)
