  • NFL Network serves Tuna

Those of us who subscribe to Cablevision - which owns Newsday - did not miss much Thursday night by being shut out of the Bears-Dolphins snoozer.

But the network does have something well worth watching Friday night in "Bill Parcells: Reflections on a Life in Football."

The documentary does not break any dramatic new ground, but it is built around a solid sitdown with Tuna, and features other interviews as well as good use of NFL Films' vast archive of Parcells video.

One highlight is Parcells' repeated promises over the years that he never will coach again.

Another is a segment on his relationship with the media, which was far more intimate - with print reporters, at least - during his days with the Giants than it later became in other NFL stops.
