Northport's marching band was/is better than yours
Yes, I am aware that the gallant warriors of the Northport High football squad lost in overtime to Brentwood Friday, their first defeat of 2008.
But football fortunes come and go. Northport's band is a given, and has been forever. We always went last in the '70s at Newsday's Marching Band Festival at Hofstra, and it appears that tradition will continue tonight. (The video above is from the 2007 festival.)
It only makes sense, because, really, who would want to follow us?
