  • Pa. Gov. calls U.S. 'wussies'

My commute Monday: an 800-mile drive from Chicago after giving up once and for all on the commercial aviation business.

My commute Tuesday: an 11-step walk to the basement.

That's right, baby, I'm back and ready to blog!

But first, to complete the circle of sportswriting life, I currently am listening to Newsday's own Rod Boone on WFAN, about 10 hours after I parted ways with him outside my house after our long road trip together.

Speakiing of sportswriter travel adventures, if you missed it Monday catch up with Newsday's own @TomRock_Newsday for a Twitter tour de force from the road.

Meanwhile, in Philadelphia Tuesday, the Eagles will host the Vikings in a game delayed one day by the blizzard and another day by keeping ESPN and NBC from hurting one another's ratings.

My cynical tweet on that subject landed me a Tweet of the Week nod from Peter King in his popular Monday Morning Quarterback column.

The postponement also prompted this memorable reaction from Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell.
