Patchogue kegler wins title

Congratulations to Patchogue's Michael Fagan on his first career individual singles title on the PBA tour, having dispatched one of the game's all-time greats, Walter Ray Williams Jr., in the final of the One A Day Dick Weber Open.
The event no doubt was watched by more people than might normally have seen it on ESPN2 because one of the commentators was Bill (Sports Guy) Simmons, who late in the match mentioned that Fagan had been "making out" with his bowling ball all day.
Simmons quickly was informed by his fellow announcers that Fagan merely was blowing into his thumb hole to dry it out.
(Also, a frustrated Walter Ray dropped a couple of s-words on live TV. That was funny.)
Now that I've watched my friend and fellow former Newsday St. John's beat writer Judy Battista on ESPN's "The Sports Reporters," and Simmons on bowling, I feel less pressure to watch TV this evening and make difficult decisions among the Islanders, Devils, Nets, Knicks, Rangers, Pro Bowl, Grammys, "Desperate Housewives," "Simpsons," "SNL Presents: Sports All-Stars" and Shaun White on "60 Minutes."
Maybe I'll read a book instead.
