Plaxico Burress reportedly shoots himself . . . in leg
Jay Glazer, one of the media world's foremost experts on Plaxico Burress drama, reports that the wide receiver accidentally shot himself in the leg Friday, causing non-life-threatening injuries.
(UPDATE: More from T-Rock here.)
(UPDATE: Much more here in the Sunday paper. At one point I volunteered to help with the stakeout of Plax's Totowa, N.J., house, but Spunky Katie Strang stepped up once again. Once upon a time, in 1992, when I was somewhat closer to the age Ms. Strang is now, I got a tip the St. John's committee searching for a successor to Lou Carnesecca was meeting at a certain house in Jamaica, so I drove there and sat in the dark in my car until I saw everyone walking out and then reported on what I witnessed in the next day's paper, which creeped out members of said committee. But I digress. I hope Plax works out his problems eventually, but that the Giants ditch him forthwith.)
