    My post the other day about the rise in Islanders ratings this season prompted several readers to inquire about the Knicks and Rangers.

    Here you go:

    Through the first 36 games, the Knicks were averaging 1.07 percent of area homes, down from 1.19 last season at this point. But the men ages 25-54 demo, which matters to advertisers, was up 33 percent.

    The Rangers were down from 1.03 to 0.94, roughly the same drop in percentage terms as the Knicks.
