Rex presser was one for books
For those of you who read the blog but not the rest of the website or the printed version of the newspaper . . . for the record during my holiday weekend travels I did cover the Knicks game Saturday here and the Jets game Sunday here.
I also wrote this Jets column Monday morning before hitting the road.
I have seen some weird news conferences in my time, but Rex Ryan's Sunday is near the top of the list.
Watching the Jets coach - and the news media - turn on a dime after the Redskins beat the Jaguars to back Gang Green into the playoffs was a thing to behold.
One second Ryan was talking about his defense's problems, the next he was fielding a question about resting his starters in Week 17.
