Rick Ackerman, bachelor at large
I'm back in the basement. Finally had to leave the WiFi-friendly coffee shop before lapsing into a caffeine coma.
I have Internet service at the moment, so I'll make this quick before it goes out again:
For our final post of the week, we check back in with Rich Ackerman of MSG Varsity / WFAN / Sirius, who last month was the subject of a "Bachelor"-style dating adventure on "Live with Regis and Kelly."

The audience chose a woman named Rachel for him from among three finalists, and the two had a pleasant evening going to dinner and a Rangers game during a mid-February snowstorm.
One month later, that pairing did not turn out to be a love connection, but fear not:
Ackerman has been dating Samara Churgin - another of the finalists.
Hey, you never know. That's amore.
Actually, Regis Philbin foresaw this possibility when I first spoke to him about setting up Ackerman:
"If it doesn't work out [with Rachel]," he said, "I'm sure Ack Ack has access to all of those other phone numbers. It's up to him."
