ED SABOL, NFL Films Founder and president Next

I just watched a first-rate documentary, "Ed Sabol: King of Football Movies," whose next showing is at 2 p.m. Saturday, timed to the induction of the founder of NFL Films into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

    Well deserved, by the way.

(The show premiered Monday. But I was busy playing softball. And come to think of it, I don't have the NFL Network on my TV anyway.)

It is an excellent show, as you would expect of NFL Films, especially on this topic, full of a startling collection of home movies featuring a guy who loved being on camera as much as turning cameras on others.

Speaking of NFL Films and the NFL Network . . . Not all is well in suburban Philadelphia. Check out this wow-inducing story by Paul Domowitch of the Philly Daily News.
