Sam Ryan to stay at WCBS after all
Last week, I reported Sam Ryan would be leaving WCBS at the end of the month and doing freelance work at SNY.
But WatchDog has learned Ms. Ryan will remain at Ch. 2 after all.
The station offered her a chance to work three days a week - Monday through Wednesday - as its sports anchor, giving her the family time she desired.
Ryan said she was "flattered" the station accommodated her with a part-time gig, and said the deal will fit well with her network duties on weekends.
"It's another win-win for my family," she said.
Ryan spoke during a break at CBS College Sports' preseason seminar. She will do studio work for that channel this autumn.
Her new schedule starts next month. Otis Livingston presumably will handle the rest of the week on Ch. 2's sports reports.
