Saratoga party on NBC, Versus
The charms of Saratoga lose a lot on television, but if gas prices make the prospect of a schlep far upstate unappealing, NBC and its cable sibling Versus Saturday will begin seven consecutive weekends of their "Summer at Saratoga" series.
The first episode will feature the Coaching Club American Oaks and be seen on NBC. So will a feature on the history of racing at Saratoga.
The highlight of the series, naturally, is the Travers Stakes Aug. 27 on NBC.
