Selena Roberts' critics poised for A-Rod book release

Former New York Times sports editor Neil Amdur was on WFAN with Ca-Boom this morning, defending Selena Roberts in reaction to criticism from the morning duo, who have been hard on her regarding her coverage of the Duke lacrosse scandal while at that newspaper.
(As have a couple of dozen people who have emailed me on that topic.)
"Does she have an anti-man complex you're aware of?" Carton asked Amdur, later adding, "She doesn't like men, is my assertion." Oy.
If Roberts' A-Rod book is as juicy as some believe it will be, this stuff is just going to get uglier in April.
Strange moment: In describing Roberts' career, Amdur noted she had written a tennis book about Martina Navratilova and Chris Evert. Readers can correct me if I'm wrong, but I am not aware of such a book by Ms. Roberts.
Maybe he was mixing her up with former Newsday columnist Johnette Howard, who wrote a fine book on that subject a few years back.
In any case, Carton responded to Amdur, "surprise, surprise." To reiterate: Oy.
