Sky Blue FC reaches inaugural WPS title tilt
The big news in soccer Wednesday was Burnley's shocking victory over Manchester United in England's Premier League, but don't forget Sky Blue FC - the New York area's entry in the new Women's Professional Soccer.
Sky Blue won a semifinal match to land in the championship game against the Los Angeles Sol Saturday. MSG Plus has the game on tape delay at 6 p.m.
Earlier this season I went to a Sky Blue game at Rutgers and saw them win on a goal in extra time.
And I watched the 1999 Women's World Cup final on TV. And I have met Mia Hamm and Julie Foudy. So I'm all over this stuff.
