SNY featured at museum

I was there the day in 1988 that founding director Rochelle Slovin (Cornell Class of 1962) opened the Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria.
I lived around the corner from its location at the Kaufman Astoria Studios, which also was the home of a year-old radio station called WFAN.
I was one of the museum's first members.
Anyway, the newly refurbished and expanded museum will host a special event at 7 p.m. Tuesday on "The Art of Televised Baseball," featuring SNY executive Curt Gowdy and famed director Bill Webb.
They will discuss, well, the title is self-explanatory.
Webb's work is featured in a new exhibit that is part of the museum's core offerings, in which visitors are taken inside the workings of a Mets-Padres game on SNY last season.

But don't look for me or for WFAN. We both have left the neighborhood.
