ESPN announced that Saturday night's Tennessee at Memphis tilt was its most-viewed college basketball game ever.

The contest averaged 5.21 million viewers.

Its rating of 3.8 percent of homes with ESPN made it the network's highest-rated men’s college game since Dec. 22, 1998.

ESPN said it was the most-viewed regular-season men’s game on any TV outlet since a Duke-North Carolina game on CBS in 2005.
