  • Tiger takes Reilly's advice

ESPN's Rick Reilly took a lot of guff Wednesday he said on TV and in this column that Tiger Woods should take an indefinite leave of absence from golf.

Then Friday night - the traditional time when people who cynically want to minimize media impact announce things - Tiger agreed with him!

Speaking of Reilly, the first sentence of his column is a reminder of a what a clever writer he can be:

"Tiger Woods is the first person in history to run his car into a hydrant and set himself on fire."

The thid sentence is a reminder of why his writing these days often annoys readers:

"His reputation is shredded. His once-perfect name has been dragged through more mud than a Nantucket clam digger's boots."
