  • Tiger Woods parks Buick endorsement deal on blocks

Tiger Woods and Buick have parted ways after a marketing partnership that lasted nearly a decade.

GM was looking to save some money, Tiger to spend more time with his family.

The original idea was for Tiger to change Buick's image as a vehicle for old people.

Did it work? I don't know. But I do know that during the course of the contract Tiger grew a tad closer to the demographic Buick is known for attracting. Another 20 or 30 years, and he would have been there!
