As far as Fox's Joe Buck recalls, he never has called baseball and football games on consecutive days in the regular season.

That will change this weekend, with an additional wrinkle: Both games will feature Tampa Bay at New York, first Rays-Yankees Saturday, then Buccaneers-Giants Sunday.

“This is kind of a unique circumstance,’’ he said. “I am excited. I can’t wait . . . It’s an all-out assault on the two markets by me.’’

Buck said the fact the games are in the same area and that he is familiar with the teams involved eases any potential concern over the double-dip.

“My challenge right now is hoping American [Airlines] doesn’t lose my luggage,’’ he said. “There’s three weeks worth of notes that are going to go down the drain.’’

Beyond that, it’s all good. “This is a dream for anyone,’’ Buck said.
