  • Viewers have bobsled dreams

The daily ratings releases from NBC are starting to get a little old, but it will be interesting to see how women's figure skating does Thursday with no Americans in close medal contention.

Here is some random stuff from today's NBC release:

Sixty-six percent of viewers cheered aloud while watching the Games, and 42 percent of viewers said the Olympic sport they most would like to try is bobsled.

During their two hours of head-to-head battle Wednesday, "American Idol" averaged 22.8 million viewers to the Olympics' 19.0 million, improving its record during the Games to 3-1.

Overall, the Olympics are averaging 14.1 percent of homes in prime time, a tad higher than the pre-Games estimate for advertisers and 14 percent higher than in 2006.
