  • Will Ferrell joins the synchro skating craze . . . sort of

My quest to get synchronized skating into the Olympics had been on hiatus for a couple of months, since I told NBC's Dick Ebersol about the sport back in early December. (His staff still is looking into it.)

But I opened a new front today while hanging out with Will Ferrell in his hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton. (Just another lazy Tuesday afternoon here in WatchDog Land.)

When the subject of "Blades of Glory" came up, I mentioned that my daughter is a synchronized skater. Naturally, Ferrell had no idea what I was talking about.

"Is that kind of a new thing?'' he said. "It's guy and girl, or girl and girl?"

I explained the sport, at which point he said this: "Wow. Maybe we'll do a sequel."

Someday they are going to put a bust of me in the synchro skating Hall of Fame.
