Sunday's Yankees-Red Sox game was watched in an average of 3.5 percent of homes with ESPN, matching the Aug. 9 Red Sox-Yankees game for the network's highest baseball rating of the season.
Speaking of baseball ratings, check out this amusing post from venerable Dallas-area sports media blogger Barry Horn, who noted that Friday's important game involving the playoff-contending Rangers did not quite match the rating for the Cowboys' preseason game that night.
Final score: Cowboys 20.5 percent of homes in the DFW market, Rangers 1.4.
