According FanSnap.com, which gathers information from many secondary ticket sites, the cost of tickets to World Series Game 2 spiked by 25 percent between 3 p.m. Wednesday and 3 a.m. Thursday.

For example, the average asking price for the bleachers rose from $326 to $409.

(UPDATE: Game 2 prices continue to skyrocket. As of 3 p.m. Thursday, for example, bleacher tickets were up to $550 a pop.)

    Why?

Could be Yankees fans worried this is their last chance to see a Series game this year.

    Or Phillies fans getting cocky.

Or perhaps the forecast for sunny weather.

(The Sentinels' home opener at Giants Stadium apparently did not negatively affect demand for Series tickets.)
