  • Yanks and Red Sox are trying America's patience

By the time Wednesday's Red Sox-Yankees game ended, not only had the Mets, Knicks, Nets, Rangers and Devils games long since concluded, so had those teams' post-game shows.

Yikes. Between her pre-game report and her post-game work, YES's Kim Jones would have had time to cover an entire Giants game. In the time it took him to call the game, Michael Kay could have hosted his four-hour show on 1050 ESPN. I could have written 30 blog posts.

    Here are the game times of the 22 Yanks-Bosox games over the past two years, in order: 3:18, 3:26, 3:34, 3:56, 3:25, 3:11, 3:28, 3:22, 2:59, 3:53, 3:39, 4:04, 3:11, 3:26, 3:01, 4:43, 3:37, 3:10, 2:59, 2:49 (with a 2:11 rain delay), 3:55, 4:08.

Ken Davidoff: Call Bud Selig and ask him what he's going to do about this.
