Kirk Radomski on A-Rod: "I have no idea what the hell he's talking about."

Host, Andy Gresh: “Alex Rodriguez talked about his cousin getting steroids for him in the Dominican Republic and he had a name that was tagged to it that I know I’m not familiar with. Did that name that A-Rod mentioned (“Boli”), did it ring a bell with you at all?”

Kirk Radomski: “No, I called people that I know from the Dominican because they asked me, ‘What’s Boli?’ I have no idea what the hell he’s talking about. I don’t know if he just doesn’t want to say it is Primobolan, maybe that’s why he’s calling it Boli? But there’s no drug name out there that says Boli on it. He tested positive for Primobolan.”

Gresh: “What’s interesting about what A-Rod mentioned is the dirty little secret that is winter ball and the ability to obtain this stuff in the Dominican Republic. Is that a part of this whole steroid story that we haven’t focused on enough?”

Radomski: “Of course it is. Just like you can go down to the store and buy a can of Pepsi, same thing in the Dominican and a lot of these countries you can go and buy steroids because it doesn’t matter. It’s legal there. And you’re sending young guys over there to play there. What, you think they’re not going to pick it up?”

Gresh: “Do you believe A-Rod’s story where he talked about the cousin introducing him to Boli?”

Radomski: “No. First of all, Primobolan, anyone who knows anything about steroids, especially Primobolan, Primobolan you have to take twice a week. It’s a very mild steroid. It’s one of the most mild steroids out there. It works. It’s fantastic but you’ve got to take it twice a week. You don’t take it twice a month.”

Gresh: “So would twice a month do anything for a guy, especially like him?”

Radomski: “You might as well piss in a cylinder and shoot it up because it’s not going to do anything. They usually come in 100 milligrams of Primobolan, which is very mild. You need at least 100 to 200 milligrams a week just to get some effects.”

Gresh: “Can you tell if a guy is on Primobolan?”

Radomski: “Yeah, you’ll start to notice if you watch his body. If you’re around the guy and you start to see the changes you’ll notice that he’s not holding water in certain spots, he’s getting harder, leaner, very quick. His eating habits haven’t changed but all of a sudden his body is and that’s a telltale sign.”
