BC$ is a hot ticket

Monday night's BCS Championship Game has become one of the toughest tickets in the history of American sports.

Meanwhile, on television, it likely will generate the biggest audience for a scheduled event in the history of cable TV.

ESPN play-by-play man Brent Musburger promises to mark the occasion (relatively) quietly.

There are a number of ways to deal with the fundamental silliness of the college football bowl system.

You can make fun of it, as I have chosen to do in recent weeks.

You can beat your head against a wall complaining about it.

You can try to fight it and inspire eyes-glazing-over stories such as this one.

Or you can just watch the darn championship game, enjoy it for what it is and move on.

Unless of course you have a job or school Tuesday morning, in which case you are unlikey to be able to stay up until the wee hours to see the end.
