'Campus Madness' on 1050 ESPN

I don't know how the heck I got roped into publicizing this promotion, given the fact Cornell lost in the first round - to Molloy! - but here goes:

Brandon Tierney and Jody McDonald of 1050 ESPN radio are conducting a 64-school, bracket-style competition called "Campus Madness" in which those loyal to various New York-area college are encouraged to text votes for their school.

The winner will host a live midday show featuring Tierney and McDonald, followed by a seminar for all students interested in journalism.

Prizes, too!

The contest is down to the Elite Eight, which features St. John's, Syracuse, LIU, NYU, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Pace, Marist. Vote by texting "Madness" to 44202.

I don't have a rooting interest, but I'd put my money on St. John's, given their hot streak this winter. Not counting Thursday night, obviously.
