Charles McCord follows Chris Carlin's early footsteps

This doesn't have much to do with sports, but in tribute to those Imus fanatics who helped jump-start the blog last year, here's an interesting tidbit:

Starting Monday, Charles McCord will host a show at 5 a.m. on WABC called the "Imus in the Morning News Hour."

McCord, who will continue with his customary role on Imus' show, will be joined (among others) by sportscaster Warner Wolf.

“We're giving people a great place to land for a concise, but complete, update, everything they’ll need to know to decide whether it's worth getting up,” McCord said in a news release. “I'm expecting to be able to tell them that it is.”

I'm out. Enjoy "Annika Swings for the Kids" on the Golf Channel at 7 p.m.
