Cowboys' amusing dysfunction takes funky media turn
Jerry Jones' ban on public speaking by everyone in the Cowboys organization other than himself - including the head coach! - is hilarious, obviously.
But here's an interesting take on the decision from a guy who covers the team for the Dallas Morning News.
Calvin Watkins defends the move thusly: "If we in the media want to know more about the team, we can ask Jones. Todd Archer has spoken to Jones in the last two days and has written some good stories from Indy."
And this: "Wade Phillips is a good guy. Smart guy. A guy who respects the game and wants it played the right way.
"But it's all about respect. The players respect only one guy: Jerry Jones. That's it."
Yikes! What a team!
