Emmy tabs Emrick, Hernandez

I went with the mishmash approach for my Tuesday newspaper contribution, leading with an item on the NFL Draft moving to prime time.

Other items include ones on ratings for Saturday's Mets-Cardinals epic, highlights of the New York Emmys, a mini-review of a new ESPN documentary on the history of Rotisserie League baseball and a note about the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach going deep into prime time.

Here is a complete list of the New York Emmy winners, led by 16 for MSG/MSG Plus.

They include MSG Plus' Doc Emrick for play-by-play, SNY's Keith Hernandez for analysis, YES' Bob Lorenz as a studio host, News 12 Connecticut's Damian Andrew for reporting, MSG Plus' Larry Roth for directing (including his work on Islanders games) and Doug Safchik of WNBC-TV's "Mike'd Up" for editing.

SNY's Mets coverage won for best live sports series and MSG won for live sports event coverage for Adam Graves Night.
