ESPN, MLB Network stage digital duel at trade deadline

Hey, what's up with ESPN not doing the usual trade deadline studio stuff this afternoon?

Turns out ESPN is busy with live golf and ESPN2 is busy with live auto racing, so the baseball talking heads were shifted to ESPNEWS.

MLB Network is all over this stuff, too, of course.

Only problem: MLB Network and ESPNEWS are on digital channels and thus in fewer homes than ESPN and ESPN2.

And not only homes. Sources in Newsday's Melville headquarters say the TVs there don't get those high-number channels such as MLB Network, ESPNEWS, Versus and Golf Channel.

Will someone please call a helpful, friendly, highly trained Cablevision technician and get us an upgrade?
