Eric LeGrand, the Rutgers football player who suffered a severe spinal cord injury in an October game, will do his first in-studio interview Sunday night with Bruce Beck on Ch. 4's "Mike'd Up."

Speaking of "Mike'd Up," a number of readers have wondered where Mike Francesa has been lately. So I asked him.

Francesa said last year during the discussions over whether to continue the show for 2010-11 he asked to cut back on his appearances outside the football season, citing a desire to be home more on weekends.

The station agreed, and his annual total was trimmed from 36 to 24. Francesa still did his customary 21 shows during the NFL season but he will do only three others.

Two of those already are in the books. The only show he is scheduled for between now and the start of the NFL season - if there is one - will be May 22, after the Mets face the Yankees.
